Raw Vegan Date Recipes
Dates are great eaten by themselves in their whole natural state and are the best choice as a raw vegan sweetener when making recipes. No smoothie reachs its' full potential without dates. They make just about everything taste better. Try using them in salads, pie crust, desserts, nut milks, drinks or with lettuce and celery. One of my favorite ways to eat then is with a little dab of raw tahini. Experiment, you really can't go wrong.

Quick pecan pie
Replace the pit of a medjool with a pecan half. Done. :)
Date-coco shake
1 young thai coconut
14 pitted dates
ice
Drain coconut water into blender. Split open and spoon out coconut inside into blender. Add dates and ice and give it a whirl.
For variation add strawberries , vanilla bean or banana.
Barhi Lemonade
2 cups water
2 large lemons (juiced) (I like the meyer lemons)
10-12 pitted Barhi dates
After juicing the lemons, place everything in a blender and blend till nice and frothy.
Serve over ice.
Sunshine Date Dreams
1/2 cup pitted dates,
1/4 cup cashews,
1/4 cup raisins,
1/4 cup walnuts,
1/4 cup shredded coconut.
Mix together and roll into balls 1.5 inch in diameter.
